Eyeglass Holders Are A Great Idea For Children
I know that eye problems run in our family, but I was surprised to learn that my five year old daughter was already in need of corrective lenses. Most of us needed glasses around the age of twelve, so I hadn’t thought to have her eyes examined for that reason. When she failed the vision test upon entry into kindergarten, I realized that I had better go out and get her checked so she could see clearly in school. My biggest worry was how she would care for her glasses, and that was when I discovered eyeglass holders.
We have had a few problems with her glasses, but probably not as many as we would have if she did not have her eyeglass holders. There have been a few mornings when she has forgotten to put them on, but she has never lost them entirely, and has had them for about eight months now. As careless as she is, I find this to be something of a miracle. Her holder for eyeglasses is the reason, at least in my opinion, that she has yet to really lose them. Forgetting them before school is far more appealing to me than searching for glasses that may or may not have gotten broken because they were left in the wrong spot.
The reason that she uses her eyeglass holders is because they are a lot of fun. You can get all types of them, but you should always look for ones that are meant for children when you are getting them for your family. These are often made out of wood or plastic, and come in many great designs. The ones my daughter chose were the tiger and the giraffe. They are made to hold glasses securely without having to fold them up and put them in a case each night. I know that she would soon tire of the case, and that is why I got her two eyeglass holders
You can buy your own eyeglass holders, or you can use your imagination and make them on your own. Whatever the case, these are always a great idea when a child has to wear glasses, especially at a young age. You can find them in themes that will please children of all ages, and in many colors. Though they should go on nightstands or dressers, they can go in bathrooms if you have the counter space. They may cost a bit more than you might think, but that price is far better than what you would have to pay to replace a pair of glasses left laying on the floor.
Summary
Eyeglass holders are fantastic tools for kids to help them keep up with their glasses in a fun way. Different colors and styles are available so they can look stylish and hip sporting glasses.
